Classification Essay

There are three different parts of U.S government. They are executive, legislative and judicial.
Each branch is independent and holds a specific power.

The U.S laws are made by the legislative branch. The House of Representatives and the Senate
hold the legislative power. Each state has two senators. Each state has a specific number of
representatives based on its population. A bill gets passed when the majority of people from the Senate
and the House of Representatives accept it.

The U.S laws are enforced by the executive branch. The President is the head of this branch. The
Vice President and the Cabinet also have executive power. A president is elected through Electoral
College. A President has the power to sign or veto legislation. This branch deals with diplomacy.

The U.S laws are applied and interpreted by the judicial branch. The Supreme Court holds
judicial power. A federal judge can only get fired when he faces an impeachment.

In closing, the reason our federal government has been divided into three different parts is
because this is a democratic country. We do not want our Federal government to become too powerful.
