Are Governments necessary

Government is an organization. There are two types of government. One is
democratic and the other one is autocratic. Today, in the United States, many
people have different views and opinions about government. My paper will
discuss a few main differences between these people.  People who are in favor of
government believe that governments are necessary because they are powerful,
helpful and their involvement in our economy is good for us. But people who are
not in favor of government think that governments are unnecessary because they
are power abuser, not helpful and their involvement in our economy is not
beneficial for us. Government has both good and bad influence in this country.

Governments use their power to make public decisions and provide justice
to people. They provide justice to us by making everyone equal under the law.

This is how governments make sure that the basic rights of citizens are not
violated. They hold the power to use taxes for many different reasons including
the development of this country and paying for health programs, Social Security
system and national debt. They consider taxes as saved money which can be used
in case of any emergency including war.

Today we have democratic governments in this world. If governments
become autocratic then they might use their power to give injustice to people. If
we think about Nazi government we realize that governments can abuse their
power to make people suffer.

Governments help us bring peace to this society by making laws. Laws are
intended to prevent people from causing problems for someone or something.
People are less likely to commit crime when they abide by the law. They pay for
tuition fees and book fees of poor college students. They provide money and free
healthcare for the poor.

Some people disagree that government is helpful. According to a study by
the Brooking institution and American Enterprise Institute, safety laws claims
more lives than it saves. In 1972, FDI passed a child safety law on drugs to make
sure that children don’t do drugs like aspirin. Because parents and old people
became dependent on that law for children’s safety, they left their aspirin where
children could reach. As a result, many children died. When people get free
education, healthcare or supplies they don’t fully understand their value. Lazy
people will not think about getting a job if they keep getting financial aid.
Government’s involvement in our economy is good for us. Governments control
price rates of certain goods to make them affordable for everyone.

Some say that governments are not necessary because they think that
government’s involvement in our economy is bad for us. According to them,
governments control price rates of certain goods to cause economic issues. I
disagree with them because governments control price rates of certain goods to
make them affordable for everyone.
